Greetings from the Waste Management Association of Malaysia!
We are pleased to inform that WMAM will be organizing the 4th Waste Management Association of Malaysia (WMAM) Annual Conference on the 6th & 7th April 2017 with the theme “Holistic Waste & Market Potential in Asia Pacific”.
Holistic Waste Management looks at waste management as a whole from various perspectives ; from production to final consumption covering all areas in and around the waste management industry. The theme for WMAM’s Annual Conference 2017 in Melaka “Holistic Waste Management and Market Potential in Asia Pacific” is a platform to understand and learn the framework of holistic waste management. This Conference will cover 7 type of waste and the business opportunities it could offer to various sectors.
The huge market potential from holistic waste management is discussed by prominent local and international speakers. Key areas to be covered are as follows:
Holistic waste management – closing the gaps and economical solutions
Model of Holistic Waste Management from various countries including China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, India and Germany
PFI project opportunities in green businesses
Renewable Energy businesses
Current and future Global businesses relevant to holistic waste management
End of pipe businesses created from holistic waste management
At the end of this conference and site visit, participants would be able to understand the idea of holistic waste management and foresee its market potential in the near future. Waste is marketable – recycling, composting, landfill closures are part of the business perspective of waste management. This is in line with the government initiatives to promote market creation from one type of waste or a combination of several types of waste.
